The day, at a glance

What to know

Three things to keep in mind as you plan your trip to celebrate with us. Everything else — the full timeline, travel notes, and registry — is just a scroll away.

An outdoor garden wedding

Both the ceremony and the celebration happen outside, among the ferns and glasshouses of Fernwood Gardens. Dress for a warm September afternoon that softens into a cool evening, and choose shoes that are happy on grass and gravel.

One beautiful location

Ceremony, dinner, and dancing all unfold in the same garden, so once you arrive you can settle in for the whole evening. Parking is on-site, and we'll have a shuttle running from the hotel for anyone who'd rather leave the car behind.

Please RSVP by 1 August

Kindly send your response by the first of August so we can give the caterer a final count and save you a seat at the right table. The RSVP form takes about a minute, and you can note any dietary needs there too.

Order of the day

How the evening unfolds

A loose map of the twelfth of September so you know when to arrive and what to look forward to. Come a little early — the garden is at its best in the late-afternoon light.

  1. 01

    4:00 · Arrival & welcome

Gates open at four. Follow the eucalyptus-lined path to the glasshouse lawn, where you'll find sparkling elderflower, iced tea, and a shaded spot to catch up before we begin. Please find your seat by twenty past — we start right on time.

  2. 02

    4:30 · The ceremony

We'll exchange our vows beneath the old magnolia at half past four. It's a short and heartfelt service, about half an hour, entirely outdoors on the grass. Feel free to be present with us — our photographer will capture everything, so phones tucked away, please.

  3. 03

    5:15 · Cocktails & garden

After the ceremony, wander the walled garden with a drink in hand while we steal away for a few portraits. There'll be canapés, a botanical gin bar, and plenty of quiet corners among the ferns to sit and talk as the light turns golden.

  4. 04

    6:30 · Dinner & dancing

A long-table dinner under the string lights, a few speeches we promise to keep brief, and then the band strikes up. We'll dance until the garden closes at eleven, when the shuttle will be waiting to carry everyone safely back to the hotel.

Kind words

From those who know us best

I've watched these two grow into the calmest, kindest version of themselves whenever they're together. If you know them, you already know this wedding is going to be pure joy.
Marielle·Maid of honour · Elise's sister
From the day Rowan brought Elise home for dinner, we knew. She finishes his sentences and laughs at the jokes even we've stopped laughing at. We couldn't be happier to gain a daughter.
James & Priya·Rowan's parents
Best man is a big word, but standing up for Rowan is the easiest yes I've ever given. Come thirsty, come ready to dance, and bring tissues for the vows — you'll need them.
